CVE-2026-96644 is a high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the python-pillow Pillow library affecting versions prior to 13.0.0 on Windows. The flaw occurs in the handling of 32-bit WMF or EMF image dimensions, where truncated 16-bit width and height fields lead to a heap buffer over-read during pixel data copying. This can cause memory disclosure or application crashes. The issue is fixed in Pillow version 13.0.0.
