A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's md (multiple device) subsystem related to REQ_NOWAIT support in raid1, raid10, and raid456 has been resolved. The REQ_NOWAIT feature was incomplete for these RAID personalities, causing potential data divergence when write requests encountered retryable errors. This could lead to inconsistent mirror data due to inability to safely retry writes or mark bad blocks. The fix removes REQ_NOWAIT support from these RAID types while retaining it for linear and raid0, which do not have this issue.
