In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: magnetometer: ak8975: fix potential kernel stack memory leak Currently in… (CVE-2026-72481)CVE-2026-72481 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AK8975 magnetometer driver could lead to a kernel stack memory leak. The issue arises when the function i2c_smbus_read_i2c_block_data_or_emulated() returns fewer bytes than expected, leaving uninitialized memory in the buffer that is later exposed to userspace. This flaw has been fixed by adding proper checks on the return value to prevent leaking uninitialized kernel stack memory.
