In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: avoid stale runlist element dereference in MFT writeback… (CVE-2026-72354)CVE-2026-72354 0 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NTFS driver was resolved, involving stale runlist element dereference during Master File Table (MFT) writeback. The flaw occurs when a runlist element pointer is accessed after its backing memory has been freed due to concurrent MFT allocation extension. This can lead to kernel memory corruption and instability. The issue was identified through kernel address sanitizer (KASAN) reports. No CVSS score or known exploits are currently available.
