CVE-2026-19617: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10CVE-2026-19617
0

A vulnerability in libdm's Logical Volume Manager (LVM) metadata parser allows a local attacker to craft deeply nested LVM metadata configurations that cause uncontrolled recursion. This leads to stack exhaustion and crashes of any LVM command reading the metadata, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). The flaw affects systems where untrusted users can write or modify LVM metadata. The vulnerability has a moderate severity score and does not impact confidentiality or integrity but causes availability disruption.
