CVE-2025-38152 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's remoteproc core component affecting certain NXP i.MX8MP and i.MX9 platforms. It occurs when stopping a remote processor (rproc) and then starting it again with firmware that lacks a resource table, leading to a kernel NULL pointer dereference and system crash. The issue arises because the table size variable is not cleared during shutdown, causing a memcpy operation to access a NULL pointer.
