A use-after-free vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel's power supply driver pm8916_bms_vm due to improper ordering of resource allocation and deallocation. Specifically, the IRQ is requested before the power_supply handle is registered, causing a race condition where an interrupt can trigger after the power_supply handle is freed but before the IRQ handler is unregistered. This can lead to system crashes or memory corruption. A similar race can occur during probe() if an interrupt fires before the power_supply handle is initialized. The fix involves requesting the IRQ only after registering the power_supply handle.
