0 A critical vulnerability (CVE-2026-84474) was found in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform's automation-controller. It allows users with only read-level view_jobtemplate permission to access the provisioning-callback secret (host_config_key). Additionally, the controller trusts a client-supplied X-Forwarded-For header when deployed behind the AAP gateway with an empty proxy allow-list. This combination enables a minimally privileged or unauthenticated attacker to spoof the header, read the secret, and launch job templates against arbitrary managed hosts, resulting in privilege escalation and remote code execution on those hosts.
