The issue involves improper recomputation of the CR8 intercept when no new interrupts are pending, leading to a stale TPR_THRESHOLD value. This can cause VM entry failures with hardware error 0x7 on older platforms or nested virtualization environments without virtual-interrupt delivery support. The fix ensures that KVM correctly updates CR8 intercepts whenever the guest's PPR is updated, preventing these VM entry failures.
