An off-by-one vulnerability in the Linux kernel forcedeth driver was fixed. The issue occurs in the nv_suspend() and nv_resume() functions, which iterate one element beyond the bounds of an array when saving and restoring non-PCI configuration space. This out-of-bounds access can cause a kernel abort when UBSAN is enabled and triggers an out-of-bounds MMIO read and write. The bug does not corrupt observable data but represents unsafe memory access. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/11/2026, 21:31:33 UTC Added: 09/12/2026, 00:42:53 UTC |
