The issue involved applications requesting multiple Write-Combining (WC) pages for the same user context (ucontext), whereas only one WC page per ucontext is supported. The fix adds locking to prevent concurrent access and checks to reject repeated requests. Additionally, if the mmap entry insertion for the WC page fails, the associated Doorbell page index is freed to prevent resource leaks.
