WP Statistics plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 14.16.8 is vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) via the 'utm_campaign' parameter. An unauthenticated attacker can inject malicious scripts through the public REST endpoint by exploiting insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. The vulnerability allows script execution when a user accesses an affected page. The attack bypasses sanitization by leveraging a base64-encoded page_uri POST parameter and a publicly exposed signature.
