In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drbd: reject data replies with an out-of-range payload size recv_dless_read()… (CVE-2026-72014)CVE-2026-72014
0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's DRBD component allows a malicious or man-in-the-middle peer to send data replies with an out-of-range payload size, causing kernel memory corruption. This occurs because the payload length can be manipulated to a negative value after digest length subtraction or by casting a large unsigned length to a signed integer. The flaw affects the default configuration where data integrity algorithms are not required, exposing nodes that read from peers to potential memory corruption.
