In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: qede: fix off-by-one in BD ring consumption on build_skb failure… (CVE-2026-72339)CVE-2026-72339 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qede driver involves an off-by-one error in buffer descriptor (BD) ring consumption when memory allocation fails in qede_build_skb(). This flaw can desynchronize the BD ring, potentially corrupting DMA page reference counts and SLUB freelist memory structures. The issue arises because qede_rx_build_skb() and qede_tpa_rx_build_skb() do not check for NULL returns from qede_build_skb() before consuming BDs. A fix has been implemented by adding NULL checks in these functions to prevent BD ring corruption. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:21 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:20 UTC |
