In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: partitions: aix: bound the pp_count scan to the ppe array aix_partition() reads… (CVE-2026-64318)CVE-2026-64318 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AIX partition handling was resolved by bounding the scan of the physical-partition-extent array to its allocated size. The function aix_partition() previously read an unvalidated partition count from a physical volume descriptor and used it to index beyond the fixed-size array, causing an out-of-bounds read. This occurs when a crafted AIX partition table is presented to the system, such as via a loopback device or automatic device scan.
