A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NFS server (nfsd) was resolved involving improper freeing of session slots that are still in use. The function nfsd4_sequence() could free the slot it was currently processing due to insufficient boundary checks, leading to use-after-free and memory corruption. Concurrent threads could also have their slots freed while still active. The fix involves additional checks to prevent freeing active slots and ensuring the current request's slot ID is within valid bounds.
