A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's network stack can cause a crash when the configuration parameters gso_max_size or gso_ipv4_max_size are set to small values. This leads to an underflow in the function sk_dst_gso_max_size(), triggering a BUG_ON crash due to an invalid calculation of sk_gso_max_size exceeding device limits. The issue is related to improper handling of segmentation offload sizes during TCP transmission.
