In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: virtio: Validate control metadata from the device virtio-snd control… (CVE-2026-64490)CVE-2026-64490 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ALSA virtio sound subsystem allowed a malicious or faulty device to cause out-of-bounds memory access by providing invalid control metadata. This issue was due to trusting device-provided control type and value count without proper validation. The vulnerability has been resolved by adding validation of control type and count before processing the control data.
