In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: bound S1G TIM PVB walk to the TIM element… (CVE-2026-74336)CVE-2026-74336 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mac80211 WiFi subsystem was resolved involving an out-of-bounds read in the handling of the S1G Partial Virtual Bitmap (PVB) within the TIM element. The function ieee80211_s1g_check_tim() incorrectly calculates the end pointer for walking encoded blocks, leading to reading up to two bytes beyond the intended buffer. This flaw could cause the kernel to read adjacent memory beyond the TIM element payload. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:30 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:14 UTC |
