A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component related to oplock break notification has been resolved. The flaw occurs when smb2_oplock_break_noti() accesses a connection pointer without proper locking, leading to potential dereferencing of freed memory. This can happen when a durable handle owning the oplock disconnects and the connection is freed, but a concurrent break notification resurrects and uses the stale connection. The fix involves proper locking and reference management to prevent use-after-free conditions.
