CVE-2024-53127 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to the mmc: dw_mmc driver. A previous commit intended to fix IDMAC operation with pages larger than 4K increased the max_req_size even for 4K pages, causing kernel panics and data corruption on certain hardware platforms. The problematic commit has been reverted as no fix has yet been found.
