In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: xt_connmark: reject invalid shift parameters Revision 2 of the… (CVE-2026-72347)CVE-2026-72347 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter xt_connmark module allowed invalid shift parameters to be accepted, causing undefined behavior during rule evaluation. Specifically, shift_bits values of 32 or more and invalid shift_dir values could trigger an undefined-shift bug. The issue was resolved by rejecting invalid shift parameters at rule installation time, preventing malformed rules from reaching the packet processing path.
