In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/qat: fix f_pos race in qat_vf_resume_write() qat_vf_resume_write() checks… (CVE-2026-74306)CVE-2026-74306
0

A race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vfio/qat component was resolved. The issue involved the function qat_vf_resume_write() performing a boundary check on a file position before acquiring a lock, allowing two concurrent writers to bypass the check and write past the end of a migration-state buffer. The fix ensures the lock is taken before the boundary check to prevent this condition.
