0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's spi: sprd driver involved an error pointer dereference after a DMA setup failure during probe. The driver attempts to fall back to PIO mode if DMA setup fails, but did not properly check the dma.enabled flag before releasing DMA channels on late probe errors, leading to potential dereferencing of an error pointer or double release of a DMA channel. This issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel.
