In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: nxp: imx8-isi: m2m: Fix streaming cleanup on release If… (CVE-2025-40165)CVE-2025-40165 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NXP i.MX8 ISI media driver was fixed to address improper streaming cleanup. Imbalanced streamon/streamoff calls could cause the m2m usage_count to never reach zero, preventing the ISI channel from being freed. Additionally, input line widths over 2K could trigger kernel warnings. The fix moves streaming preparation and cleanup to dedicated vb2 operations, simplifying the driver and preventing these issues.
