In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: Fix uninitialised heap leak in snd_seq_event_dup()… (CVE-2026-64479)CVE-2026-64479 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel ALSA sequencer subsystem caused an uninitialized heap memory leak in the snd_seq_event_dup() function. This leak occurs when legacy (non-UMP) events are copied without properly zeroing a trailing word in the event structure, potentially exposing stale kernel heap data to unprivileged userspace clients via /dev/snd/seq. The issue arises from incorrect size comparison logic that fails to clear leftover data in reused memory cells. This vulnerability has been resolved by correcting the size comparison to ensure zeroing of the trailing word for all relevant events.
