A vulnerability in the esaml_binding module of Dropbox esaml allows an unauthenticated attacker to exhaust the Erlang VM atom table and crash the node by sending a crafted SAMLResponse. The vulnerability arises because the parsing function interns every XML element, attribute, and namespace prefix as a permanent atom without limits or throttling. Since atoms are never reclaimed and the atom table has a fixed size, a few crafted requests can cause a denial of service by crashing the node. This affects esaml versions from 0.1.0 onward.
