CVE-2024-46846 is a medium-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Rockchip SPI driver related to improper handling of runtime and system power management (PM). A recent commit disabled clocks unconditionally during system suspend, ignoring runtime PM status, which can cause double clock disablement and warnings. The issue has been resolved by reverting to the previous method of forcing runtime suspend and resume calls and improving error handling during resume operations.
