A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter SIP connection tracking helper was resolved by validating skb_dst() before accessing it. The issue arises because tc ingress and openvswitch subsystems do not guarantee routing information availability, which the SIP helper expects when sip_external_media is enabled (disabled by default). This validation prevents potential crashes by effectively disabling the sip_external_media toggle in these contexts.
