Dompdf: File existence oracle via font-face stylesheet declaration (CVE-2026-55555)CVE-2026-55555 0 Dompdf versions prior to 3.1.6 are vulnerable to a file existence oracle attack via the CSS @font-face directive. An attacker who can supply unsanitized HTML input referencing local files using the file:// protocol can cause Dompdf to behave differently depending on whether the file exists, leading to PHP memory exhaustion errors. This behavior allows attackers to confirm the presence of sensitive files on the server by observing if the PDF generation crashes or completes normally. Exploitation requires the ability to submit large HTML payloads and system memory limits low enough to trigger the overflow. The vulnerability enables information disclosure by revealing file existence without direct file access.
