A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's openvswitch component was resolved involving improper handling of skb_tx_error() on packets that are still forwarded. This flaw caused the stripping of the SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG flag on packets carrying page-cache fragments, enabling an unprivileged page-cache write primitive dubbed "Fragnesia." The issue arises because skb_tx_error() was called on packets that were not about to be dropped, leading to unsafe in-place decryption over pages not owned by the sender. The fix moves the skb_tx_error() call to the proper flow-miss drop path to prevent this unsafe behavior.
