CVE-2024-46771 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's CAN BCM (Broadcast Manager) subsystem where a proc entry is not properly removed when the bound network device is unregistered. This leads to a resource leak and a warning due to duplicate proc entries when reconnecting sockets. The issue arises because the proc entry allocated during socket connect is not cleaned up if the device is removed, causing the kernel to attempt to register a proc entry with the same name again.
