HTML::FormFu versions up to 2.08 for Perl contain a vulnerability that allows resource exhaustion via an unbounded repeat count in Repeatable elements. The repeat count is read from a query string parameter and only validated as a positive integer, with no upper limit enforced. This can cause excessive cloning of form elements, leading to high memory and CPU consumption. Nested Repeatable elements multiply the cloning effect exponentially. The vulnerability can be triggered by unauthenticated GET requests, potentially exhausting server resources.
