A DOM Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the FreeIPA/IdM Web UI password reset page. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by tricking a user into clicking a crafted link and completing a password reset, leading to arbitrary JavaScript execution within the victim's session. This can result in actions performed with the victim's privileges, potentially full administrative control if an IdM administrator is targeted. Red Hat has issued a security advisory with a critical update addressing this vulnerability. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/09/2026, 18:32:03 UTC Added: 10/14/2026, 22:56:30 UTC |
