This flaw allows attackers who can control the fileid argument to bypass the pathsec.ENFORCE security mechanism by invoking builtins.open() directly instead of pathsec.open(). As a result, attackers can read arbitrary local files, including sensitive system files and application credentials, without requiring privileges or user interaction.
