A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to the sparc architecture's copy_from_user and copy_to_user functions for Niagara has been resolved. The issue involved inaccurate exception reporting due to incorrect calculations and a broken epilogue in the exception handlers. This flaw could cause crashes and incorrect return values when user-space memory references fault during these copy operations. The vulnerability does not affect memcpy behavior. It has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 11/12/2025, 12:30:26 UTC Added: 07/30/2026, 15:50:46 UTC |
