0 SiYuan note-taking application versions up to 3.7.3 contain a critical cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the block-reference autocomplete hint popup. The vulnerability arises because user-controllable metadata fields (name, alias, memo) are inserted into HTML without proper escaping. This allows an attacker to inject a payload that executes automatically when a victim triggers the autocomplete. Due to SiYuan's Electron environment configuration (nodeIntegration enabled, contextIsolation disabled, no Content Security Policy), the XSS can escalate to arbitrary operating system command execution.
