CVE-2024-53119 addresses a memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's virtio/vsock component. The flaw occurs because socket destruction can be delayed, allowing virtio_transport_recv_listen() to enqueue sockets after the accept_queue has been flushed but before the SOCK_DONE flag is set. This leads to sockets remaining unremoved and causing a memory leak. The issue is fixed by introducing a sk_shutdown check to prevent vsock_enqueue_accept() during socket destruction.
