CVE-2024-50041 is a medium-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's i40e driver involving a macvlan leak caused by unsynchronized concurrent access to the mac_filter_hash. This flaw can lead to memory leaks and inconsistent state when multiple threads modify the mac_filter_hash simultaneously. The issue is fixed by adding proper locking mechanisms to ensure atomic operations on the mac_filter_hash.
