CVE-2024-12430 affects AC500 V3 (PM5xxx) products with firmware versions earlier than 3.8.0. It allows a locally authenticated attacker, after exploiting a related directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2024-12429), to inject arbitrary commands into a crafted file that are executed with root privileges. This can lead to full system compromise.
