In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix writeback error handling Fix the error handling in writeback_iter()… (CVE-2026-72364)CVE-2026-72364
0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfs component related to improper error handling in the writeback_iter() function has been resolved. The flaw involved incorrect handling of errors during the writeback iteration process, which could lead to improper cleanup of iteration state and failure to unlock and redirty the current folio. This issue has been fixed by ensuring that writeback_iter() is called again with the error properly set to allow cleanup and by unlocking and redirtying the folio as needed.
