The Shopper framework has a vulnerability in its Media sub-form store() method where authorization checks are missing. This allows any authenticated admin-panel user with only browse_products permission to update product thumbnails and gallery images without having edit_products permission. The flaw is due to an incomplete fix that added locking on the product property but did not add an authorization call in the store() method. The impact is limited to products whose edit pages the attacker has loaded in their session. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 6.5. A patch is available to add the missing authorization check.
