A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to the sched_ext subsystem has been resolved. The issue involves a BUG_ON triggered when a destroyed Deferred Scheduling Queue (DSQ) is accessed in process_deferred_reenq_users(). This occurs because destroy_dsq() does not flush pending deferred reenqueues (drus), leading to a race condition where the DSQ ID can become invalid between checks. The fix involves reading the DSQ ID atomically and skipping the BUG_ON if the DSQ is destroyed before the deferred reenq runs.
