A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/msm GPU driver was resolved by changing the recovery behavior. Previously, if no more work was queued, the recovery worker would not trigger GPU recovery, relying instead on the GPU suspending and resuming. This could leave the GPU in a hung state, causing repeated timeouts. The fix ensures the GPU is always recovered regardless of queued work.
