A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's multipath TCP (mptcp) implementation involves an uninitialized local_id field during syncookie MP_JOIN reconstruction. This flaw occurs because the local_id is not restored from the saved cookie entry when rebuilding the request socket, leading to the use of stale memory values. This can corrupt the path manager's subflow bookkeeping for the connection. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/11/2026, 21:31:32 UTC Added: 09/12/2026, 00:42:55 UTC |
