The issue occurs when copy_process() can bail out to free_task() before the bpf_storage member is initialized, causing the nascent task's bpf_storage pointer to be a copy of the parent's pointer rather than a properly initialized one. This can lead to kernel hangs or use-after-free (UAF) conditions. The vulnerability is triggered if the process calling fork() is present in a task storage map.
