CVE-2025-22010 addresses a soft lockup vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA hns driver during the allocation of large buffer pages. The issue occurs when the driver runs a long for-loop to allocate and map buffer pages for large memory regions (e.g., over 100GB), causing the CPU to become stuck and trigger a watchdog soft lockup. The fix introduces a conditional reschedule call (cond_resched()) during the loop to prevent the CPU from being stuck without significantly impacting performance for normal-sized buffers.
