A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's rxrpc subsystem involves improper synchronization between kernel accept preallocation and socket teardown, which could lead to use-after-free conditions. The flaw arises because rxrpc_kernel_charge_accept() reads rx->backlog without synchronization, while a concurrent discard operation can free the backlog, causing potential use of freed memory. The issue has been resolved by serializing state checks and backlog lookups with the socket lock and rejecting preallocation after teardown disables listening or discards the backlog.
