In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ixp4xx_hss: fix duplicate HDLC netdev allocation ixp4xx_hss_probe()… (CVE-2026-72058)CVE-2026-72058 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ixp4xx_hss driver caused duplicate allocation of HDLC network devices. The probe function allocated two separate HDLC netdev objects, leading to a mismatch between the registered device and the one unregistered and freed on removal. This also caused a memory leak if the second allocation failed. The issue was fixed by ensuring only one HDLC netdev is allocated and used consistently.
