A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's accel/ivpu component was resolved by rejecting firmware logs whose size is smaller than the header size. The flaw allowed a crafted firmware log with a size smaller than its header to cause an underflow in size calculations, leading to out-of-bounds reads and potential infinite loops. This issue was fixed by adding validation to reject such malformed logs.
